Pokhara — The Nepali Communist Party has held a launch programme in Kaski as part of its nationwide, two-month National Awakening Campaign, known in Nepali as Rastriya Jagaran Abhiyan. The party’s Kaski district committee organised the event, which brought together party leaders and members.
What are the campaign’s priorities?
According to the party, the campaign prioritises national sovereignty, democracy, people’s rights, good governance, social justice and livelihood issues. Participants at the launch stressed the need to carry the campaign forward effectively.
The party says it aims to engage directly with residents and collect their problems, complaints and suggestions. It also plans to bring issues affecting daily life to the attention of the relevant authorities while strengthening its organisation.
What activities are planned in Kaski?
The campaign includes membership renewal and expansion, organisational adjustments and broader public outreach. The party says discussions with residents about its policies and programmes are also part of the initiative.
The district committee aims to extend the campaign to local levels and wards across Kaski to strengthen its connections with residents. Public dialogue, organisational strengthening and engagement with livelihood concerns are the campaign’s stated objectives.
